Transcontinental Global Green Challenge
Technology, research, and reliability are put to the test to determine which vehicle offers the most outstanding fuel economy over a gruelling 3,147km outback & urban journey from Darwin to Adelaide.
Santa Fe R-Series finished the 2009 Challenge achieving an astonishing 5.1L/100km and winning the SUV class.

Competition rally
Hyundai is competing in the 2010 Australian Rally Championship series in an i30 CRDi turbo diesel with its winning combination of reliability, agility and fuel efficiency delivering consistent results with stage, category and class wins in all events competed in.

- 2010 Coffs Coast Rally: i30 CRDi 1st in Showroom Class, 1st in Eco-Rally Challenge, 1st in 2WD Championship, top 10 outright
- 2010 Scouts Rally SA: 1st in Showroom Class, 1st in Eco-Rally Challenge Class, 1st in P4 individual Class, 2nd in 2WD Championship
- 2010 International Rally of Queensland: 1st in Showroom Class, 1st in Eco-Rally Challenge Class, 2nd in 2WD Championship, 8th outright

Targa
Hyundai started racing an i30 CRDi turbo diesel in the QUIT Targa West rally back in 2007. Fast forward to 2010 and the same i30 competed in the 2010 Targa Tasmania, winning two trophies and most recently in the 2010 QUIT Targa West rally.
