The Hyundai Design Centre was the first of its kind in Korea to independently focus on automotive design. Today, with an international network of design centers connecting the Hyundai world, from Europe to North America and Asia, embracing traditional, developed and emerging markets, we are at the forefront of global trends.
Namyang Design Centre, Korea
Equipped with high-tech state-of-the-art facilities, the Namyang centre is the headquarters of around 400 designers who, using computer-aided digital modeling are dedicated to creating the cars of the future.
Working with the most advanced industry specific equipment, including a visual exhibition room, interior exhibition room, Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) system, and a network of design super-computers, Namyang Design Centre spearheads the creative design process.
American Design Centre, USA
Located in Irvine, California, the American Design Centre is situated on 33,058m2 of land with a massive 9,917m2 facility operating as part of the global Hyundai design network.
Here some of the world’s best automotive designers analyse and respond to the market trends and consumer needs of the unique American driving style, as well as contributing to the Hyundai global product development strategy.
Europe Design Centre, Germany
In partnership with the Europe Research and Development Centre, the Europe Design Centre plays a key role in the creation of designs suited to the needs and lifestyles of European consumers. As part of the global design network they are able to utilise the expertise and knowledge of associate colleagues in North America and Asia to ensure the Hyundai design language is universally translated, and best practice is shared globally throughout the product design and development process.
