New entry-point i30 Go on-sale now

4 December, 2017 – Hyundai’s new-generation i30 was launched earlier this year to critical acclaim and has quickly become the small car benchmark – with i30 SR winning the prestigious Drive Car of the Year for 2017.

Building on this momentum, Hyundai Motor Company Australia is pleased to announce that the i30 range is now more accessible than ever, with the introduction of a new entry variant – the i30 Go.

Designed as a practical and lower-cost alternative to the feature-packed i30 Active variant, and priced from $19,990 MLP in manual form, the i30 Go has the same impressive design and safety features as the Active – but at a more accessible price.

i30 Go is available with either the smooth 120kW 2.0 GDi petrol engine (paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission), or the torquey and efficient 100kW 1.6 CRDi diesel (paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Standard features on i30 Go include seven airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 8in touchscreen and automatic headlights.

Safety features
The new i30 Go maintains the same high standards of safety as the existing i30 Active variant, with features such as:
7 airbags
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Automatic dusk-sensing headlights
Rear camera

Styling
In addition to Hyundai’s signature Cascading Grille the i30 Go’s styling highlights also includes DRLs, an aerodynamic rear spoiler and new 10-spoke wheel cover design.

Multimedia
The i30 Go debuts a new Hyundai 8” touchscreen radio system with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity. This means customers with a compatible smartphone will be able to access Apple Maps or Google Maps via the in-dash multimedia touchscreen, make phone calls, play music or podcasts, compose text messages, and more, all by the simple push of the voice control button on the steering wheel.

This new system also features a host of supplementary connectivity options, including Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, as well as AUX and USB inputs with iPod compatibility.

Engines/transmissions
The i30 Go offers buyers a choice of two engines and transmissions, with both the smooth 120kW, 2.0 GDi petrol engine and efficient, torque-rich 100kW, 1.6 CRDi diesel engine.

Hyundai’s own 6-speed manual transmission is standard for both engines, with an optional 6-speed automatic mated to the 2.0 GDi petrol, and 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) for the 1.6 CRDi diesel.
