  i30cw Wagon's handling and suspension have been specifically tuned and tested to deliver dynamic yet cultivated road-holding for Australian-unique conditions. MacPherson strut front suspensions and advanced multi-link rear suspension have been fitted to complement the high design rigidity, making every i30cw Wagon drive one of enjoyment and comfort.

• Two Engine Choices

  

  Drive your way with the choice of a 2.0 CVVT petrol that produces up to 105 kW of power and 186 Nm of torque while delivering a fantastic 7.2 L/100 km* or 1.6 Common Rail Direct injection (CRDi) turbo Diesel featuring Variable, Geometry Turbo (VGT) charger to produce 85 kW of power and 255 Nm of torque, which delivers an astonishing 4.9 L/100 km*.

• Environmental Integrity

  

  The 1.6 Common Rail Direct injection (CRDi) turbo Diesel engine is surprisingly quiet, refined and smooth. More importantly for the environment, i30cw Wagon produces significantly reduced CO₂ emissions and is compliant with stringent EURO IV emission standards. This makes i30cw Wagon a practical alternative to complex and expensive hybrid cars.
  
  Through developing new technologies, Hyundai Motor Company aims to make up to 95% of its vehicles recyclable.

• Transmission

  

  Manual transmission (displayed): The five-speed manual gearbox boasts high efficiency features that reduce noise and enhance durability. It’s been engineered to match the sporting nature of the car with precise, short-throw shifts.
  
  Automatic transmission: The automatic transmission features an elegant step gate shift lever allowing for precise control of i30cw Wagon's automatic transmission.

Safety

• 5-Star ANCAP Safety Rating

  

  Six airbags, including dual front, side (thorax) and curtain SRS airbags provide protection to front and rear passengers. They come as standard across the i30cw Wagon range, which has achieved the maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating.

• ANTI-SKID BRAKING SYSTEM WITH ELECTRONIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION

  

  The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) enhances safety under emergency braking situations by preventing your brakes from locking up and distributing braking force according to your vehicle’s load.

• Traction Control System (TCS)

  

  Over-accelerating on slippery surfaces can cause the wheels to spin, reducing power and steering control. TCS momentarily applies the brakes on a spinning wheel until it regains traction with the road so that you stay in control.

• Reinforced Integrity And Cushion Zones

  

  From inception, driver and passenger safety have been top of mind. i30cw Wagon's safety is grounded in a state-of-the-art safety structure that includes energy absorbing deformable zones, occupant protection cell and three-way load distribution technology. Further rigidity is delivered with reinforced A pillars, strengthened bulkhead, front and side members plus toughened B and C pillars.

• Active 'Anti-Whiplash' Head Restraint

  

  Front active 'anti-whiplash' head restraints, standard on all i30 models, offer superior whiplash protection in a rear impact. They use the force of the occupant's body against the seatback to move the head restraint forward so that the head and neck of the front-seat occupant are supported.

• 4 Wheel Disc Brakes

  

  With 280 mm front vented discs and 262 mm rear solid discs, 4-wheel disc brakes are an essential part of the brake system, delivering you better and more efficient braking with reduced brake fade and shorter braking distances.

• Keyless Entry / Immobiliser / Alarm

  

  Remote operation central locking activates the engine immobiliser and alarm. This is operated by the Euro-style fob with fold in key.

• Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO)

  

  HALO* will prevent unwanted entry by others and features a speed sensing central locking system which automatically locks all doors when the vehicle reaches 40 km/h. The doors will automatically unlock upon key removal from ignition. Front seat occupants can override the system to easily exit the car.
