It’s the great imponderable, meaning it’s something many of us don’t even ponder when we’re buying a car - the service costs.
It’s not something that’s often top of mind when you’re shopping for a new car, but these costs can come as a rude surprise, particularly a few years down the line.
Hyundai has taken the unique step of attempting to solve this age-old dilemma and delivering its owners peace of mind by launching a revolutionary new servicing program.
From September 1, all Australian Hyundai owners will be able to take part in the country’s most comprehensive, and fully transferrable, Lifetime Capped Price Servicing (LCPS) program.
Remarkably, every Hyundai vehicle is eligible, too, right back to those built in 1985, no matter how many kilometres they've clocked up.
So what does LCPS mean to you, the owner? Basically it takes sticker shock out of the equation by letting you know - via the Service Pricing Menu at http://www.hyundai.com.au/owners/icare/lifetime-capped-price-servicing - what the maximum price of your next scheduled maintenance service will be, for the lifetime of your vehicle, before you even book your car in.
If you own a car that was already part of Hyundai’s three-year capped price serve arrangement, don’t worry, because your arrangement will remain in place, and when that time is up you can automatically take advantage of the lifetime capped price program.
Renowned for its market-leading five-year new vehicle warranty as part of iCare – Hyundai’s comprehensive customer care program – Hyundai has again applied innovative thinking to the aftersales arena.
As part of this stunning announcement, Hyundai’s Roadside Assist service has also been extended from seven to 10 years.
“Pricing transparency for all scheduled services is something our customers say they want,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Operating Officer, John Elsworth. “We hope our Lifetime Capped Price Servicing program will give customers even more peace of mind and confidence in our aftersales service.”
Hyundai offers extremely competitive scheduled service prices and your vehicle will be serviced by Hyundai factory-trained technicians using genuine Hyundai parts and authorised diagnostic equipment.
Standard scheduled service costs include labour and parts; including oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, oil, spark plugs, lubricants, coolant and general workshop supplies.
Plus, by being able to show a consistent manufacturer service history, you’ll improve the resale value of your car and make it more attractive to prospective buyers.
Lifetime Capped Price Servicing is integrated with a new online booking system that will be rolled out across Hyundai dealers in the coming months.
Using an innovative, dealer-specific website, customers will be able to choose a service time to best suit their own diaries, book a replacement car and even choose a service advisor. The system guides customers through the process in simple steps and is clear, quick and comprehensive.
“We’re proud of our new booking system and it is a key step toward making Hyundai Australia’s best-loved car company,” Mr Elsworth explained.
“We want to make Hyundai and Hyundai dealerships as easy as possible to do business with, and make vehicle servicing a straightforward and simple process.”
You can book a service, or obtain a quote, directly from your local Hyundai dealer, or by logging on to www.hyundai.com.au/owners and selecting CPS menu.
