Rear traffic warning.

Using the BCA system’s radar sensors, at speeds of 10 km/h and under, the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), standard across all variants, monitors for traffic approaching on either side of Santa Fe when reversing out of perpendicular parking spaces. Should RCCA detect a vehicle approaching, an audible warning will sound, with a visual warning displayed on the dash cluster, multimedia screen and in the corresponding exterior mirror.

In the case the driver does not adhere to the warning, the system may activate the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system to apply braking force and help avoid a collision with the approaching vehicle. The approaching vehicle will only be detected if travelling at speeds between 8 km/h to 36 km/h.
