The Next-Generation i30 is set to be launched in Australia during the second quarter of 2017. With an entirely new grille and body design, cutting-edge safety features and reinvented performance, it has inspired an overwhelmingly positive response from all who’ve witnessed it so far.

Designed and developed in Europe and tested in Australian conditions to offer customers the highest value, this is Hyundai’s most advanced offering yet. The Next-Generation i30 will be the new standard for Hyundai going forward – and there’s plenty to be excited about. It screams class in both the interior and exterior, it’s more aerodynamic at speed, and it comes with ground-breaking technology and safety inclusions.

What the journalists are saying

“It’s almost certain the new i30 will be among the best, if not the best, in its class when it comes to standard equipment and value.” –

“It’s a lot more luxurious looking and it’s a lot more European.” –

“This is technology you don’t normally see on a small hatchback.” –

Next-Generation i30 features

Some of the exciting features and Hyundai Smart Sense safety features include:

Cascading front grille:

Hyundai’s state-of-the-art new design element is the Cascading Grille, defined by a downward tapering gesture inspired by the flow of molten steel. The grille features chrome-plated dots for a more sophisticated appearance, and combines with three-projector LED (low and high beam) headlamps and vertical LED daytime running lights (with indicator function) to imbue the Next Generation i30 with a powerful presence.

Wireless smartphone charging:

Ultramodern technology takes centre stage in the Next-Generation i30 with some models including wireless smartphone charging, allowing you to charge your mobile device without even connecting a cable.

Autonomous emergency braking (AEB):

Combining radar and camera data, AEB is activated when the system detects sudden, unexpected and dangerous braking from the vehicle ahead of you.

Adaptive cruise control:

Like regular cruise control, where your car maintains your desired speed, but with an added extra: if the car in front is travelling slower, adaptive cruise control slows your car down.

Brand new infotainment system:

Incorporating Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and more, the new eight-inch display only adds to the classy European styling of the interior.
