Have a fling with football.

Australia’s a sports mad nation. We’ve got rugby, love our footy, are cricket mad and swimming is in the blood… However, every 4 years something comes along so exciting, it causes many to put a first love aside, and embrace a game that millions of switched-on Aussies enjoy year in, year out… It’s football and the FIFA World Cup™.
At Hyundai, we love football, and have for over 14 years. So when the FIFA World Cup™ comes around, it’s a chance to share the beautiful game with those less familiar. If that’s you, why not experience what we and millions of other Aussies love so much, and get involved. But be warned, it’s infectious…

Fling with football events.

We have hosted hundreds of fans at events across Australia, taking over iconic venues and inviting other code lovers to get behind the Socceroos during the FIFA World Cup™.

Socceroos v France

We invited Carlton FC members to switch their Blues guernseys for Socceroos jerseys to get behind Australia in their opening game of the FIFA World Cup ™. Fans were joined by other Carlton royalty Anthony Koutafides and Dale Thomas, cricketer Damien Fleming, as well as footballers Carl Valeri and Lisa de Vanna.

Socceroos v Demark

Sydneysiders joined us at the iconic North Sydney Olympic Pool to cheer on the Socceroos as they drew 1-1 with Denmark. Legends including Archie Thompson, Wendell Sailor, Damien Fleming & Robbie Slater entertained fans before the game was shown on a huge LED screen in front of Sydney Harbour.

Socceroos v Peru

We went into rugby heartland and gave one of Brisbane’s most staunch League pubs, The Caxton, a football makeover in celebration of the FIFA World Cup™. The venue was stripped of it’s other code memorabilia and replaced with football paraphernalia for a one night fling.

Queenslanders were invited to cheer on the Socceroos as they took on Peru, as well as take part in a high stakes football themed trivia night. Australian sporting heroes Wendell Sailor, Luke Hodge and former Socceroo Jade North hosted the night.

Thank You letters from the Socceroos.

In the lead up to the FIFA World Cup™, we delivered thank you letters from the Socceroos made in the Hyundai A-League to mentors that helped them on their journey to the worlds stage.
