Hyundai’s 2.0-litre direct-injection four-cylinder petrol engine is available exclusively in 2WD Tucson ActiveX, combined with Hyundai’s advanced six-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai’s 2.0 CRDi four-cylinder turbo-diesel is the most potent engine available in the four-tier Tucson range. It is available exclusively with Hyundai’s Active On-Demand AWD system and advanced six-speed automatic transmission.
Both the slick 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic achieve greater fuel economy and provide increased driving pleasure. An electronic manual mode on the 6-speed automatic also enables a more involved driving experience.
To deliver luxury handling with Australian comfort and dependability, Tucson was subjected to an extensive localisation and tuning program, over thousands of kilometres across urban, country and outback roads and surfaces.
Combining radar and camera data, the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system activates the brakes when it detects dangerous, sudden braking by the car ahead. When travelling 80km/h and below, Tucson will come to a complete stop. Only available on: Highlander variant.
Intelligent features like Blind Spot Detection alerts you to objects in close proximity, and Lane Change Assist warns you if a vehicle is approaching rapidly from the rear. Only available on: Highlander variant.
Large, wraparound rear combination lamps are sculpted and use an LED array for maximum brightness, saving energy and enhancing safety. By lighting up a split second faster than conventional lamps, they alert the following driver sooner. Only available on: Highlander variant.
The fold-in electric side mirrors help keep you ding-free, while LED side repeaters on them help keep you safer by clearly alerting those around you of your intention to turn or change lanes. Only available on: Highlander variant.
